Merit Roofing & Waterproofing is seeking an experienced and relationship-driven Business Development Representative to join our team. This position will focus on developing new business and maintaining strong relationships within the community association and property management industry.
Qualifications
- Previous experience with CAI (Community Associations Institute) and/or CACM (California Association of Community Managers) required
- Previous experience working with community associations, HOAs, and property management companies required
- Strong knowledge of the community association and property management industry
- Experience building and maintaining professional relationships with community managers and property managers
- Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills
- Professional and confident when representing the company at meetings, networking events, and industry functions
- Roofing, construction, or related industry experience preferred
- College degree preferred
- Comfortable using computers, CRM systems, email, and other business software
- Organized, self-motivated, dependable, and proactive with follow-ups
Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities with HOAs, community associations, and property management companies
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with community managers and property managers
- Represent Merit Roofing & Waterproofing at CAI, CACM, and other industry events
- Attend networking events, trade shows, educational events, and community association functions
- Generate and follow up on new leads and business opportunities
- Maintain relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities for additional business
- Coordinate with estimating, operations, and management teams throughout the business development process
- Track leads, meetings, opportunities, and follow-ups using company software
- Identify potential sponsorships, networking opportunities, and industry partnerships
- Help expand Merit Roofing & Waterproofing’s presence within the HOA and property management market
