We are currently searching for a detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our team!

The Process Engineer will be responsible for review, design, development and continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes, specifically glass and injection molding. This role will have a schedule of Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm with occasional Saturdays depending on travel and operational needs. Travel will be a heavy component of the position including travel to all US sites and international travel to Canada and Mexico.

Please note: This role is open to local candidates only or candidates that are already in the process of moving to the area as there is no sponsorship or relocation package offered.

Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing processes for all new programs companywide during quote stage
  • Collaborate with Plants to determine best process and design
  • Join initial Design Review with Customers
  • Participate in APQP activities for new product launches companywide
  • Lead Process Design Review with Plants
  • Assist in creation of process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, control plans, work instructions
  • Support process validation and production readiness line trials
  • Aid in production startup activities
  • Ensure manufacturing processes meet internal and customer requirements
  • Manage activity for standardization of processes, pokeyokes, equipment
  • Analyze manufacturing process costs to continuously improve profitability
  • Conduct process reviews to determine continuous improvement activity such as layout changes, capacity planning, stacked bar creation, and process design
  • Investigate process-related quality concerns and propose permanent corrective action
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Degree in Manufacturing Engineering strongly preferred; equivalent experience would also be accepted
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in a Manufacturing setting required
  • Automotive Industry experience strongly preferred
  • Proficient in computer programs including Microsoft Office such as Excel
  • Skilled in communication with all levels of an organization and customers/clients
  • Highly organized, results driven with great problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and successfully operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
