Job Title: Quality Support Associate
Location: Morgan City, LA
Job Summary: The Quality Support Associate ensures products and services meet quality standards through testing, process improvement, and documentation. The positional duties include, but not limited to, identifying defects, analyzing results, coordinating training and calibrations, and adhering to ISO standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Coordinates 3rd party and internal training for the facility by running reports and collecting attendee information from management to provide to BOS Quality.
· Coordinates the calibrated equipment system for the facility by managing equipment movement from the site to the laboratory.
· Oversees on-site calibrations as directed by BOS Quality
· Monitors IA’s (Improvement Actions) in order to track progress through closure, while coordinating with various parties to ensure timely effectiveness of improvement actions.
· Maintains the site document control system by receiving requests for document changes, updating the appropriate documents, and processing them through the SharePoint document approval tool.
· Responsible for generating various reports for management to support metrics analysis such as defect and MSF reporting.
· Performs internal audits of the quality management system at the site as assigned by management.
· Performs general coordination of the quality system at the site level to ensure system compliance
· Understands basic quality system concepts in compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001 and how to effectively implement the concepts in actual practices.
· Performs monthly quality system mini-audits as assigned by the BOS Quality Group.
· Other duties assigned or requested by Management.
Qualifications:
· Five (5) years of manufacturing or shipyard experience with an associates’ degree or two (2) years with a bachelor’s degree preferred.
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
· Basic computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
· Highly organized with good time management skills.
· Good written and verbal communication skills.
· Competent coordinator in various areas.
· Self-driven with minor supervision.
· Ability to travel to other company facilities.
