Baker / BOH Ella Cafe, Boynton Beach
The baker works in our retail cafe bakery with a small team (2–5). You’ll follow our recipes, bake for the pastry case, and keep quality and cleanliness consistent. Early shifts on bake days. You’ll also support order fulfillment and light guest interaction when needed.
What you’ll do
- Prepare dough and batter from established recipes no changing recipes
- Bake muffins, banana bread, cakes, and other case items to a consistent standard
- BakeMondays, Wednesdays, and Fridaysfor the weekend (no bake Sunday)
- Quality check: look, texture, freshness before anything hits the case
- Portion, wrap, label, and package for retail
- Manage inventory and flag what’s low
- Keep BOH clean: ovens, prep tables, floors, sanitation standards
- Fulfill orders accurately and courteously
- Help on the weekend line when scheduled (two people on the line weekends)
Required
- 3+ years baking experience
- Reliable and on time
- Early-morning bake days (Mon / Wed / Fri)
- Weekend availability as needed
Preferred
- Culinary certificate
- Strong dough handling and oven skills
- Food-safety knowledge
- Inventory control
- Works well on a small team
- Good with guests
