Rheumatology Opportunity in Richmond, VA

You’ll step into an established outpatient Rheumatology practice with a clear succession plan and a built-in patient panel to grow into. This is a physician-owned, multi-specialty environment with long-tenured colleagues and strong internal referrals. Practice Overview


  • You’ll join a physician-owned multi-specialty group with 5 Rheumatologists and 1 Adult Internal Medicine physician, all in a single Richmond clinic location
  • Succession/expansion need: work alongside a senior physician and gradually assume an established patient panel
  • Full-scope Rheumatology with major volumes in RA, PsA, osteoarthritis/osteoporosis, plus systemic autoimmune/connective tissue disorders
  • In-office procedures/diagnostics: joint aspirations/injections (small & large joint), MSK ultrasound, and DXA interpretation; on-site 12-chair infusion center with daily order sign-offs and reaction coverage support

Schedule


  • 4 to 4.5 clinic days per week; no dedicated administrative days
  • 100% outpatient clinic with on-site infusion center supervision; no inpatient responsibilities or consult rounding
  • Typical volume: 22–24 patients/day (initially fewer as you ramp with more new patients)
  • Call is 1:6, phone-only

Compensation & Benefits


  • Base salary guarantee: 280,000 for 12–18 months. Earnings in the (90th %)
  • Sign-on bonus: Available
  • Relocation allowance: up to 10,000 (based on receipts)
  • Benefits include malpractice coverage paid in full, 4 weeks combined PTO/CME, 1,500 CME allowance, health & dental (subscriber-only paid), life (150K), disability, and paid licensure/dues; shareholder partnership track unlocks infusion and ancillary profit participation

Candidate Requirements


  • MD or DO
  • Board eligible or board certified in Rheumatology
  • Open to new grads and experienced physicians
  • No visa sponsorship available
