We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Power Distribution Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team. This role is ideal for individuals with an engineering degree who are looking to build a strong foundation in power systems and electrical distribution while gaining hands-on experience supporting real-world utility and infrastructure projects.
In this role, you will contribute to the design, analysis, and implementation of electrical distribution systems that serve residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Working alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional teams, you'll gain exposure to industry-standard tools, participate in field activities, and develop the technical skills needed for long-term success in the power distribution industry.
What You'll DoThis position combines office-based engineering work with occasional field visits to support power distribution projects. You'll work with tools such as AutoCAD, GIS, and power system analysis software while collaborating with engineers, project teams, and utility representatives. Field work may include site inspections, data collection, and support of construction activities as needed.
Typical working hours follow a standard business schedule, with project timelines guiding workload and priorities. Dress code is generally business casual in the office, with practical and safety-appropriate attire required when visiting field or construction sites.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
