School Psychologist - Woonsocket, Rhode Island

Step into an engaging contract opportunity supporting students from early childhood through young adulthood as a school psychologist. Positions are available with flexible start dates through June 18, 2027, with both full-time and part-time arrangements consideredthough full-time is especially desired.

In this role, you’ll use your expertise to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals ages 3–21. Responsibilities may include comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations, supporting the development and implementation of IEPs, and contributing to eligibility determinations. You’ll help shape student success through counseling, behavioral intervention, and regular collaboration with teachers, administrators, families, and other service providers. Additional tasks could range from direct consultation and crisis intervention to detailed progress monitoring and data collection, adapting to the evolving needs of your assigned school environment.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Master’s or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
• Current certification as a School Psychologist in Rhode Island (RIDE 5403)
• Previous experience working in educational settings highly valued
• Excellent assessment, counseling, and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
• Strong organizational skills and adaptability across a range of school-based services

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychoeducational assessments and evaluations
• Guide and support IEP creation and student eligibility decisions
• Provide counseling and behavioral supports to students as needed
• Serve as a resource and partner for families and staff
• Lead and support student intervention and crisis response
• Monitor and document progress for ongoing student success
