Our clientis seeking aProject Coordinatorwhois responsible for assisting a salesperson in all aspects of a sale and customer relationships.This is apermanentpositionworking on site in Raleigh, NCwith a40 – 45 hourworkweek.The role offersa competitive base salaryandgreat benefits. The Role
The Project Coordinator position includes obtaining pricing, submittals, and interacting with customer personnel.In this role, you will be responsible for ordering materials for the successful completion ofconstructionprojects for one salesperson.You will work closely with internal sales and operations personnel. You must be willing to work in a team environment and develop relationships with vendors, suppliers, and customers to not only represent our client professionally but to achieve exceptional service from them and to them.At times, you may have to resubmit orders, change delivery dates, and persuade these vendors to act in our client’s best interest without compromising the relationship with the supplier.The goal is to schedule material to arrive prior to the jobstarting butnever be late with an order.It needs to arrive when it can be billed in that month’s billing cycle so the payment terms with the supplier can be met. You will also work closely with the operations department and with the client software,ensuring this is achieved.
What You’ll Do
- Purchase goods
- Manage deliveries forjust-in-timeinventory and to meet customer schedules
- Arrange truckloads to achieve truckload pricing savings
- Communicatewith operations personnel
- Organize and track returned materials
- Order samples for submittals andcomplete submissionsto customers
- Manage claims with manufacturers
- Get roll sizesbeforeshipping for roll layout and communicate to operations
- Manage working files before, during,and after job completion
- Monitorthe receiptof goods for use by self and others in the company
- Check current inventory for job and stock materialsbeforeordering new materials
- Periodic entry ofno-change andchange orders to facilitate orders
- Other data entry in setting and maintaining jobs in the system
- Obtain pricing for proposals as necessary
- Other items as necessary to support thesalesperson
What You Bring
- 1 – 3 years of experience with purchasing and/or dealing with vendors.
- Ability to quickly prioritize and identify key tasks; independent worker; strong multitasking abilities
- Organizedrecord-keepingtechniques
- Interpersonal skills using tact, patience,and courtesy to employees, vendors,and customers
- Ability to provide clear direction to others
- Ability to use Word and Excel
- Team player willing to go the extra mile
- Can-doattitude and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
