Key Qualifications:

• Completion of a master’s or doctoral program in School Psychology from an accredited institution
• Active Rhode Island School Psychologist certification (RIDE 5403) required
• Experience working in school-based roles and conducting a range of psychological assessments
• Strong understanding of IEP development, eligibility processes, and progress monitoring practices
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative spirit when engaging with students, families, teachers, and allied professionals
• Capacity to offer crisis intervention, data-driven consultation, and counseling as needed

Responsibilities Include:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and contribute to eligibility determinations for special education services
• Develop, implement, and support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide counseling and behavioral interventions tailored to student needs
• Consult with educators and families regarding best practices in student support and behavior management
• Collect and analyze data for intervention planning, ongoing progress monitoring, and program evaluation
• Deliver crisis intervention and additional psychological services as directed by school assignment
