We are seeking an experienced Applications Engineer – Milling to provide technical applications support, customer training, machine demonstrations, and pre sales support for advanced CNC milling equipment.
Thispositionworkscloselywithcustomers,dealers,andsalesteamstodemonstratemachinecapabilities,optimizemachiningapplications,troubleshoottechnicalissues,andensurecustomersaregettingthebestperformancefromtheirequipment.
KeyResponsibilities
- Developandconducttrainingprogramsforcustomers,dealers,andinternalpersonnelonthesafeandeffectiveoperationofCNCmachinesandequipment.
- Performtestcutstoevaluatemachineperformanceandidentifyopportunitiestoimprovemachiningresults.
- Conducttimestudies,machinedemonstrations,andapplicationtesting.
- Coordinate and support pre sale demonstrations, trade shows, and open houses, including equipment setup and live machine demonstrations.
- WorkcloselywithSalestoprovidetimelytechnicalandapplicationssupport.
- ReviewRFQsandturnkeysystemrequirementstoevaluateapplicationfeasibility.
- Providetechnicalapplicationssupporttocustomersandtroubleshootmachiningorprocess-relatedissues.
- Recommendappropriatemachiningstrategies,tooling,equipment,andprocessimprovements.
- Maintaindemonstrationmachines,fixtures,tooling,andequipmentinaprofessionalandoperationalcondition.
- Developtechnicalapplicationsdocumentation,trainingmaterials,andreportsforcustomers,dealers,andinternalteams.
- StaycurrentonnewCNCmachiningtechnologies,equipment,tooling,andindustrydevelopments.
- Participateintechnicalmeetings,seminars,andtrainingsessions.
- Performadditionalapplications-relatedresponsibilitiesasneeded.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’sdegreefromafour-yearcollegeoruniversitypreferred.
- 3–5yearsofexperienceinhigh-speedmilling,toolmaking,precisionmachining,oracloselyrelatedmanufacturingenvironment.
- Equivalent combinations of technical education and hands-on industry experience will be considered.
