Title: Controls Engineer

Job Duties:
We are seeking a Controls Engineer to design, program, integrate, and commission controls systems for custom automation equipment. This position will work closely with mechanical, electrical, and project engineering teams from concept through installation and startup.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and modify PLC programs for custom automation equipment
- Program and troubleshoot Siemens PLCs, HMIs, and related control systems
- Develop electrical/control system designs, I/O documentation, and schematics
- Integrate motion control, robotics, VFDs, servos, safety systems, and other automation components
- Perform machine startup, debug, troubleshooting, and commissioning
- Support equipment installation and customer site activities as needed
- Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve electrical and controls issues
- Participate in system testing, FATs, SATs, and equipment validation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field preferred
- Hands-on experience programming Siemens PLCs
- Experience with Siemens TIA Portal and/or Step 7
- Experience with Siemens HMIs and industrial networking
- Experience with motion control, VFDs, servos, and machine safety
