Overview
Our client, a leadingprecision manufacturing company serving the aerospace and industrial markets, is seeking an experiencedCMM Programmer / Operator. The company specializes in producinghigh-precision machined componentsand assemblies. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with competitive pay and a Monday–Friday schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and programCoordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)to measure dimensions of machined parts.
- Read and interpretblueprints, CAD models, and schematicsto determine inspection requirements.
- Set up, calibrate, and maintain CMM equipment to ensure measurement accuracy.
- Perform inspections using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Conductquality control checksto ensure parts meet exact specifications and tolerances.
- Document and report inspection results accurately.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve measurement or quality issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency withPC-DMIS softwarefor CMM programming and operation.
- Strongblueprint reading skillsand ability to interpret CAD models.
- Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and part assemblies.
- Experience inquality assurance and quality control procedures.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments accurately.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and mathematical skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
