Job Title: Production Quality & Packaging InspectorJob Description

The Production Quality & Packaging Inspector performs visual inspections, grading, and packaging activities in accordance with defined quality standards and customer requirements. This role ensures product compliance through accurate inspection, thorough documentation, and clear communication of quality issues, while supporting overall production efficiency and maintaining product integrity.

Responsibilities
  • Perform visual inspections and grading of products in line with defined quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Carry out packaging and labeling operations in accordance with established procedures and work instructions.
  • Ensure customer packaging requirements are consistently met, including correct labeling, packaging materials, and presentation.
  • Operate packaging equipment and manage consumable supplies to support uninterrupted packaging operations.
  • Provide parts to edge-to-edge inspection control in accordance with established definitions and guidelines.
  • Conduct edge-to-edge floor inspections based on defined grading standards and quality criteria.
  • Apply customer quality requirements consistently across all inspected products.
  • Document inspection results accurately in SAP or other designated systems.
  • Identify defects or deviations from standards and escalate quality concerns through appropriate communication channels.
  • Collaborate with production team members to support efficient workflows and maintain product integrity.
  • Use basic hand tools and follow assembly-related tasks as needed to support inspection and packaging activities.
  • Read and interpret blueprints or product specifications to verify compliance with quality and packaging requirements.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in production or manufacturing environments.
  • Previous machine operating experience, particularly with industrial or packaging machinery.
  • Ability to follow detailed quality and inspection definitions and adhere to standard procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or deviations from quality standards.
  • Effective communication skills for reporting and documenting quality concerns.
  • Comfort working with inspection processes and basic industrial equipment.
  • Ability to perform packaging and labeling operations accurately and consistently.
  • Familiarity with documentation of inspection results, including use of systems such as SAP.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience operating packaging equipment (preferred).
  • Previous manufacturing experience in a production or industrial setting.
  • Experience with assembly tasks and use of hand tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints or product specifications.
  • Comfort working with industrial machinery and inspection tools.
  • Basic understanding of packaging requirements and customer-specific standards.

Work Environment

This position is based in a modern manufacturing environment within an expanded, clean, and temperature-controlled facility. The site operates with approximately 60 employees, fostering a close-knit and collaborative atmosphere. You will work around production and packaging equipment, industrial machinery, and inspection tools, following established safety and operational procedures in a well-organized, professional setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hazleton, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
