Career Connection Network has a direct hire opening in the Jamestown area for a highly skilled Engineering Manager to join our clients dynamic team. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring that all tooling, fixture and process design meets their customer requirements.
The salary offering is $70K - $100K (depending on experience) + a full range of benefits.
The Engineering Manager will be involved in:
- Development, debugging and improvement for tooling processing;
- Designing, integrating, and improving manufacturing systems or related processes;
- Bridging the gap between technical execution and business strategy by managing engineers, projects, and processes.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the entire tool room including management
- Design and development of tooling designs
- Identifying opportunities to improve products or reduce costs
- Determining the root causes of failures and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods
- Incorporating new methods and processes to improve existing operations
- Troubleshooting new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes
- Reviewing product designs for manufacturability or completeness
- Communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes
- Design, install, or troubleshoot manufacturing equipment
Qualifications to be successful in this role:
- Associate/Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- Five (5+) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to solve complex problems with good judgment and decision making
- Systems analysis experience
- Experience with AutoCAD, Solid Works or other equivalent design software
- Ability to research and implement new technologies
- Experience with technology design
- Quality control background is a plus
- Good time management skills
