Criminal Paralegal

We are seeking a Criminal Paralegal to become a part of our team! You will provide overall support to attorneys' business needs. Attorney Rutherford has been practicing criminal defense and civil litigation for over 20 years, and he also serves as the South Carolina State House Minority Leader (representing the people of District 74).

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with clients and courts
• Assist with client intakes and discovery appointments
• Conduct research to support legal proceedings
• Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents
• Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Open criminal files.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a criminal paralegal
• Familiarity with legal research
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented

We are a diverse firm that handles criminal and civil matters. There is currently one attorneys in the firm and a staff of 6. If criminal law interest you this is the place where you would like to work. We see everything from traffic tickets to murder cases.
