Position Summary
We are seeking dependable General Laborers to join the Tempered Glass Department of a manufacturing facility in Elkhart, IN. This position supports the production of custom RV and specialty vehicle windows by operating cutting equipment, measuring materials, and inspecting finished components. This is a hands-on production role with training provided on the cutting process. Candidates must be able to read a tape measure.
Responsibilities:
- Operate cutting equipment to cut window frame components and materials to specified sizes.
- Load and position materials into the cutting equipment according to production requirements.
- Measure and verify materials to ensure accurate cuts and proper dimensions.
- Inspect cut components for accuracy, quality, and visible defects.
- Work efficiently to maintain steady production and meet daily production requirements.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe while following company procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous manufacturing, production, or general labor experience preferred.
- Ability to learn and operate basic production equipment.
- Ability to read a tape measure and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain consistent production.
- Must be dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to safely handle materials and follow all workplace safety procedures.
Schedule:
- 3rd Shift | Sunday – Thursday | 11:00 pm – 7:00 am
- Occasional overtime | Saturdays | 9:00 pm – 5:00 am
