Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support payroll, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, recruiting, and overall HR operations. This position partners closely with leadership and employees to ensure efficient HR processes, maintain regulatory compliance, and foster a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable handling sensitive information in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and support weekly payroll activities, including reviewing employee time records, resolving discrepancies, and responding to payroll-related inquiries.
  • Administer employee benefits enrollment and assist with benefit-related questions.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and HR regulations.
  • Manage employee records and HR documentation, including new hires, transfers, promotions, performance reviews, and separations.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters.
  • Assist with performance management processes and employee development initiatives.
  • Support recruiting efforts for hourly and operational positions, including candidate screening and interviewing.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities and assist with new hire orientation as needed.
  • Support leave administration, accommodation requests, workers' compensation activities, and attendance tracking.
  • Prepare and maintain HR, payroll, and workforce-related reports and metrics.
  • Conduct periodic audits of personnel files and HR records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with employee engagement programs, company events, and recognition initiatives.
  • Serve as a resource for employee questions and concerns while promoting positive employee relations.
  • Perform additional HR and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Several years of HR Generalist experience with exposure to payroll administration.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting employee relations, benefits, recruiting, and HR administration.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with HRIS, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Riverside, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
