Job Title:Project Engineer

Location: San Ysidro Land Port of Entry - 3161 Camino De La Plaza San Diego, CA 92713

Pay Range: $65,000 - $75,000/yr plus benefits

Client: General Services Administration (GSA)

Project Duration: 18 mo.

Project Details (Size, SOW, Site Background, etc.):

Responsible for the delivery of services in accordance with the established Scope of Services for the San Ysidro Land Port of Entry including project controls and support services. APSI emphasizes that every employee contributes to our success in business development, growth, operations and customer service. Your role in the organization is vital in achieving these objectives. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to those listed below.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight and direction to all on-site/part time staffResolve personnel issues for controls staff

  • Overall quality control of services

  • Program management software setup, implementation, testing and training of staff and contractor

  • Develop and implement operations and strategies that improve services and provide additional value in a cost-effective manner.

  • Provide additional resources as and when needed, facilitate interviews and selection of the candidate.

  • Integration of controls services with the PM/CM team

  • Coordinate for estimating tasks. Making sure that the deliverables are completed on time, distributed to the teaming partners. Facilitate the reconciliation meetings and provide meeting minutes and follow up on the assigned tasks after reconciliation meeting.

  • Provide oversight of the master schedule update, cash flow and discuss/resolve any upcoming delays/impacts

  • Oversight and quality assurance of Cost Control functions

  • Oversight and quality assurance of the Document Control functions

  • Understand the scope of additional services (reimbursables), obtain price quotes from vendors, prepare and submit proposal to the County.

  • Regularly meets with client to ensure that the team is providing quality project controls services and meeting their expectations.

  • Prepares and publishes monthly reports

  • Issue meeting agendas and minutes

  • Log and track RFIs, PCOs, submittals, correspondence, and other project documents

  • Reviews all RFIs and coordinates their response to the contractor in a timely manner

  • Review submittal comments and RFIs for appropriateness
