RN – Nurse Educator

Location: Bronx, NY 10467
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Hours: 37.5 Hours/Week (7.5 Hours/Day)
Employment Type: Contract

Travel Pay: $3,600–$3,750/week
Local Pay: $85–$95/hour

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Nurse Educator to support nursing education and professional development within a healthcare environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in both Medical-Surgical and Perioperative nursing, along with formal education in nursing education. This role requires excellent communication, organization, and teaching skills.

Required Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) nursing experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of Perioperative (Periop) nursing experience.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and ability to support nursing staff through education and professional development.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Required Education
  • Master's Degree in Education – Required.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
Required Licensure & Certifications
  • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
  • RN license and registration must be verified through the appropriate New York State licensing authorities.
  • AHA BLS Certification.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide education and clinical guidance to nursing staff.
  • Support orientation, training, competency development, and continuing education activities.
  • Develop and deliver educational programs based on clinical and organizational needs.
  • Assist nursing staff in maintaining current clinical knowledge and best practices.
  • Evaluate learning needs and provide appropriate educational resources.
  • Support quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives through education.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership and clinical teams to identify training opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records related to education, training, and competencies.
  • Promote a professional learning environment and support staff development.
