Lead Java Full Stack Cloud Engineer

Location:Woodlawn, MD | Onsite 5 days/week

Interview:In-person interview required

Key Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain an SSA Public Trust Suitability clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and React
  • Hands-on experience as a Technical Lead
  • Strong Java/JEE design and development experience
  • Extensive experience with Angular, React, Express/Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, AJAX, and jQuery
  • Experience designing high-throughput and low-latency applications
  • Strong experience with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and Single-Page Applications
  • Experience developing responsive and Section 508-compliant web applications
  • Experience with AWS, PostgreSQL, Red Hat OpenShift, and Docker
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Nexus, Maven, SonarQube, Fortify, and UrbanCode Deploy
  • Experience with Spring Batch, JSR 352, and Control-M
  • Strong experience with REST/SOAP, XML, JSON, JAX-WS, AXIS, Jersey, CXF, OAuth2, and JWT
  • Experience with DB2, PostgreSQL, JPA, Hibernate, Tomcat, and WebSphere
  • Experience with JUnit, Mockito, PowerMock, TDD, BDD, Cucumber, and Gherkin
  • Experience with performance tuning, application security, and addressing code vulnerabilities
  • Experience documenting architecture using Visio, Confluence, UML, and IT governance frameworks
  • Strong technical leadership, mentoring, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Kafka-based event-driven architecture
  • Kafka producers, consumers, topics, partitions, consumer groups, Kafka Connect, and Kafka Streams
  • Knowledge of AI technologies and applying AI to existing architectures
  • Section 508 standards
  • Technical white papers and system design documents
  • Federal or state government IT projects
  • Low-code platforms such as ServiceNow, Pega, or Microsoft Power Platform
