We are looking to hire a dedicated Avionics Inspector to join our team. The Shop Inspector will support our Quality Control department.

General:
TomakesuretheshopcomplieswithallapplicableFederalAviationRegulations, manufacturer’s specifications and recommendations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- MaintainandkeepcurrentafileofpertinentFAAregulations,AdvisoryCirculars, Type Certification Data Sheets, and Air-worthiness Directives.
- Assurethatperiodicchecksaremadeofallinspectiontoolsandtestequipment usedbythe shop and to remove from service anyitem found to be beyond its recertification due date. Assure current records of those inspections and tests are maintained.
- Determinethatnodefective,unserviceable,orun-air-worthypartsareinstalledin any component or articles released by the shop.
- NotifyDirector - Qualityof anycircumstance requiringthe execution of a malfunction and defectreport.SuchreportwillbefiledbytheAtlantastationwithintheprescribedtimeafter the malfunction or defect has been discovered, or FAA will be contacted for instructions.
- Accomplishfinalacceptanceofallincomingmaterialincludingnewparts, suppliesand the airworthiness of articles on which work has been performed outside the shop by contract.
- Conductpreliminary,hiddendamage,in-progress,andfinalinspectionofall articles processed bythe shop and record results as outlined in the manual.
- Overseethepropertaggingandidentificationofallpartsandcomponentsas outlinedin this manual.
- Seethatrejectedandunserviceablepartsarehandledinsuchawayastoprevent theiruse as serviceable parts.
- Maintainfilesofcompletedworkorderandinspectionformsinsuchamanner thatthefile pertaining to a specific item repaired can be readily located for review.
- SeethatallLife-Limitedproducts,suchasadhesive,sealantsandlubricantsare notkept beyond their “Do not use after” date.
Requirements and skills
- At least 3 years of Aviation experience as a QC inspector or Technician
- Knowledgeable with FARs
- Knowledgeable with inspection methods, equipment and tools to determine airworthiness of article or unit
- Abletoperforminspectionsonmaintenance,preventivemaintenanceoralterationsdone to articles
- Abletousemechanical,electronicandvisualinspectionaids
- KnowledgeofISO9000series
- Knowledge of basic electronic theory
