Lead Mission-Critical Fire Alarm & Emergency Communication System Installations

Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) is seeking an experienced Lead Fire Alarm & Mass Notification Systems Superintendent to lead field installation activities for a multi-site modernization program involving fire alarm, VoIP, Emergency Communication Systems (ECS), and Mass Notification Systems (MNS).

This position is open to qualified candidates nationwide. You do not need to live in Atlanta or relocate for the position. The majority of current project work is located in the Atlanta, Georgia area, and the Superintendent is expected to be physically present at project sites approximately 25% of the time.

Candidates may live anywhere in the United States provided they are willing and able to travel to project sites as required.

When not needed on-site, applicable planning, coordination, technical review, and project responsibilities may be performed remotely.

This is a senior field leadership position for someone with extensive experience in fire alarm, low-voltage, emergency communication, mass notification, and integrated life safety systems who can oversee projects from installation through testing, commissioning, and final turnover.

What You’ll Do

• Lead field installation activities for fire alarm, VoIP, Emergency Communication Systems (ECS), and Mass Notification Systems (MNS).
• Oversee installation, integration, testing, commissioning, acceptance, and final system turnover.
• Coordinate subcontractors, field crews, engineering teams, and technical partners across multiple project locations.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, technical documentation, and installation requirements before and during field execution.
• Ensure installations are completed in accordance with approved designs, contract requirements, applicable codes, industry standards, and project schedules.
• Provide technical oversight and field leadership for integrated fire alarm and emergency communication systems.
• Coordinate engineering reviews and help resolve technical, installation, and system integration issues encountered in the field.
• Serve as a key technical liaison between field teams, Government stakeholders, and the Engineer of Record.
• Monitor field quality, safety, schedule, and technical performance throughout installation.
• Identify potential technical and installation risks and coordinate solutions before they impact project execution.
• Support system programming, integration, testing, commissioning, and acceptance activities.
• Coordinate project closeout and turnover requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of experience overseeing the installation, testing, commissioning, and turnover of fire alarm, emergency communication, mass notification, or other integrated life safety systems.
• NICET Level II, III, or IV in Fire Alarm Systems, or another applicable NICET certification.
• Strong working knowledge of NFPA 72 – National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code and other applicable life safety codes and standards.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex fire alarm, low-voltage, telecommunications, emergency communication, or life safety system installations.
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and field crews across multiple project sites.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, technical documentation, and commissioning requirements.
• Strong understanding of field installation processes, system integration, testing, commissioning, and project turnover.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to maintain access to Government worksites.
• Valid state driver’s license and safe driving record in accordance with company policy.
• Willingness and ability to travel to project sites approximately 25-50% of the time, with the majority of current project work located in the Atlanta area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Direct experience installing, integrating, or commissioning Emergency Communication Systems (ECS) and Mass Notification Systems (MNS).
• Experience with VoIP-based communication systems used within integrated emergency communication or mass notification environments.
• Experience with Notifier, System Sensor, Siemens, Edwards, Simplex, Honeywell, or other enterprise fire alarm and mass notification platforms.
• Experience supporting federal construction or modernization projects subject to UFC, UFGS, DoD, or HHS standards.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience with work order or facility management systems such as Maximo.

Location & Travel

This is a nationwide opportunity, and qualified candidates may reside anywhere in the United States.

The majority of current project work is located throughout the Atlanta, Georgia area. The Superintendent should expect to be physically present at project sites approximately 25% of the time, depending on project schedules and installation requirements.

When not required on-site, applicable planning, coordination, technical review, and project responsibilities may be performed remotely.

Candidates must be comfortable traveling to active construction and customer sites and navigating active installation environments. Extended or alternate schedules may occasionally be necessary to support project and mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
