Production Supervisor - Panel Processing & Assembly

About the Opportunity
A growing custom manufacturing organization is seeking a Production Supervisor - Panel Processing to lead daily operations within a fast-paced production environment. This position oversees panel cutting, edgebanding, CNC machining, drilling, and material flow activities while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery goals are achieved.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing leader with experience in cabinet, millwork, woodworking, furniture, or panel processing operations who enjoys leading teams, improving processes, and driving production performance.
What You'll Do
- Lead daily operations within the panel processing department
- Supervise production employees and machine operators
- Assign workloads and staffing based on production schedules and demand
- Oversee beam saw, edgebander, CNC router, drilling, and boring operations
- Monitor workflow to ensure timely completion of work orders and production schedules
- Maintain quality standards for cut accuracy, edgebanding, machining, and finished panels
- Troubleshoot production and equipment issues while coordinating maintenance activities
- Train employees on safety procedures, machine operation, and quality expectations
- Track production KPIs including output, downtime, scrap, and efficiency
- Support continuous improvement and 5S workplace organization initiatives
- Manage material flow and inventory requirements within the department
- Partner with production, scheduling, design, and shipping teams to meet customer commitments
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and employee development
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience within cabinet manufacturing, millwork, wood products, furniture manufacturing, or a related production environment
- Previous supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience preferred
- Experience working with panel processing equipment such as:
- Beam Saws
- Edgebanders
- CNC Routers
- Point-to-Point Machines
- Drilling/Boring Equipment
- Ability to read production schedules, blueprints, cut lists, and work orders
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and production software systems
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
