Scope of the Job:

QCi is seeking a dedicated and passionate Assembly, Test, and Quality Control Engineer to join our team. In this vital role, you will assemble cutting-edge products, conduct thorough testing to ensure they exceed quality standards and specifications, and play a key role in our quality control processes. Collaborating with cross-functional teams of electrical, FPGA, optical, mechanical, embedded, and software engineers, you will enhance product performance, troubleshoot challenges, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in our products.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Assemble electronic, optical, and mechanical components that are part of our quantum machines with precision and care, adhering to specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Perform functional testing and troubleshooting on assembled products to ensure proper operation.
  • Document test results and assembly processes accurately following company standards.
  • Identify and diagnose issues in prototypes or production units and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve assembly processes and product performance.
  • Maintain and organize tools and equipment to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
  • Adhere to all safety and quality standards to uphold product integrity.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Mechanics, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in a testing or assembly role, preferably in an electronics or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in using test equipment and tools, including experience with lab instruments such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Dexterity in the use of hand tools, electronics soldering, and board reworking.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Able to lift weights to OSHA limit (50 lbs.) when required (occasionally).
  • Manual dexterity to perform intricate assembly and testing tasks.
  • Capacity to stand or sit for extended periods while performing job duties.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, open-minded, and a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
  • Experience with automated testing equipment and techniques.
