The Materials Inventory Controller maintains and updates correct inventory of assigned raw materials. Responsible for supplying and staging raw materials. This role is responsible for receiving and verification of raw materials. Covers responsibilities of Material Handler as needed. The Materials Inventory Controller will use analytical and problem-solving skills when faced with challenges, be comfortable communicating with all other departments and positions, and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Duties
- Receiving and unloading raw materials from incoming trucks
- Inspect incoming raw materials for damage and accuracy
- Labeling incoming raw materials and allocating them to designated areas
- Maintain acceptable material levels at press and dryer hoppers
- Load and mix materials according to process specifications
- Ensure proper identification and labeling of materials and containers
- Operate lift equipment and pallet jacks to move raw materials
- Transport and load materials in presses/dryer hoppers
- Perform material changeovers including inventory movement and machine maintenance
- Inspect materials for accuracy and quality deficiencies
- Scan gun use for tracking inventory and transfers of materials
- Perform daily and monthly maintenance on all dryer equipment according to TPS policies and procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of production and storage area
- Inventory control and maintenance including movement of material in the ERP system and cycle counts as required
- Follow all safety protocols as dictated by TPS policies and procedures
- Demonstrate competency of applicable requirements from applicable ISO standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO13485)
