Express Employment is partnering with a local manufacturing company to add an Extrusion & Slitting Line Operator who thrives in a fast-moving, quality-driven environment.
Imagine This
You step onto the floor, review the run sheet, and prepare the line. You load rolls, set up your station, and bring the extrusion, rewinder, and slitter up to speed. Throughout the shift, you make smart adjustments, verify specs, and ensure every pallet is packaged, stacked, and staged correctlyready for on-time shipping. Then you reset for the next order with a clean, efficient changeover.
Your Schedule & Pay
- Full-time, 12-hour shifts: days (6am–6pm) or nights (6pm–6am)
- 2-2-3 pattern for predictable time off
- NO SWING SHIFT
- Compensation: $18–$25 per hour
- Evaluation-to-hire with long-term potential
What You’ll Handle
- Operate and monitor extrusion, rewinding, and slitting equipment
- Complete setups and load rolls/materials for each production run
- Perform fast, accurate order changeovers
- Conduct quality checks; package, stack, and prepare goods for shipment
- Uphold all PPE and safety procedures
What You Need to Succeed
- 2+ years of machine operation experience (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Background in paper converting or nonwovens preferred
- Positive, motivated mindset
Physical & Technical Expectations
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly
- Mechanical troubleshooting and production machine setup skills
- Experience with plastic extrusion processes and nonwovens
- Hands-on with extrusion machines, slitter machines, and wrapping machines
