Heavy Equipment Operator – Vegetation Management

$70,000–$100,000 per year | Full-Time | Travel Required
EK Land Management is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to perform vegetation management along powerline rights-of-way. This is a traveling position requiring employees to commute to job sites and remain on-site until the project is completed. Work is year round.
Food and lodging are provided while traveling for work.
Responsibilities
- Operate Skytrim and Jarraff trimmers
- Perform vegetation and tree removal around powerlines
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance and safety inspections
- Communicate with crew members and supervisors to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
- Maintain clean and organized equipment, job sites, and staging areas
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures and properly use required PPE
- Represent EK Land Management professionally with clients, landowners, and the public
- Travel and commute to assigned job sites as required
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment operation experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to commute to or relocate to job sites throughout Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma
- Willingness and ability to work required overtime
- Willingness to travel and remain at job sites for extended periods
- Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a crew
- CDL preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- $70,000–$100,000 annual salary
