Poultry Processing Associate

Overview

Join our food production team as a Live Hanger, where you'll play a vital role in the meat processing and packaging operation. This fast-paced position involves handling livestock on the production line, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency at every step. Your attention to detail and commitment to food safety will help us maintain our reputation for excellence in the food industry.

Schedule

Monday-Friday (Saturdays, Sundays and/or holidays if needed)

1st Shift: 4:30am-1:30pm

2nd Shift: 1:15pm-10:35pm

Responsibilities

• Retrieve live birds from coops and place on production line
• Hang and position livestock on the production line with precision and care, following established GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) protocols
• Ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of work areas, tools, and equipment
• Follow manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for meat product handling, assembly line tasks, and packaging processes
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly at all times to maintain a safe working environment
• Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, including quality checks, safety protocols adherence, and inventory movements

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food processing plants or meat production environments is highly preferred
• Familiarity with food safety standards
• Experience with assembly line work or manufacturing operations within the food industry will be advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to strict safety protocols in a fast-paced setting
