Location: Edenton, NC (Occasional travel to Rich Square)

Status: Part-time, approximately 25 hours week

Role Summary

The Office Administrator will support our management team with daily administrative, financial, and operational tasks and will play a critical part in maintaining accurate records, handling accounts payable routines, managing equipment returns, and keeping our office running smoothly.

Responsibilities

Purchasing & Financial Support:

  • Create Purchase Orders (POs) based on vendor quotes, ensuring precision and alignment with our internal inventory item numbering system.
  • Enter vendor invoices into the Accounts Payable system, verifying proper coding to designated accounts/departments and ensuring expenses align with authorized PO limits.
  • Assist in processing reimbursement claims for federal government grants.

Operations & Inventory Management:

  • Receive returned Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) from canceling customers.
  • Clean, test, and package returned CPE for future deployment, repairs, or scrapping.
  • Travel to the post office to collect incoming payments and returned equipment.

General Office Administration:

  • Monitor and order office supplies as needed.
  • Assist the management team with general administrative tasks to streamline office operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative, office, or operational support role.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of diligence to ensure data accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local errands (e.g., post office runs).
Preferred
  • Associate degree or completed post-secondary coursework in Business Administration, Accounting, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience with basic Accounts Payable or purchasing processes.
  • Basic technical aptitude for testing and handling electronic equipment.
