About the Role:
CSL Group Inc is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Ocean Import Customer Service specialist to join our team in E Rancho Dominguez, CA. Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate ocean import shipments from origin to final delivery
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding shipment status, documentation, and inquiries
- Communicate with overseas agents, carriers, and freight partners to ensure timely cargo movement
- Prepare, review, and process import documentation including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and customs entries
- Track and trace inbound ocean freight shipments and proactively update customers
- Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure smooth customs clearance and compliance
- Resolve shipment issues, delays, and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience in ocean import operations or international freight forwarding
- Familiarity with import documentation, customs clearance processes, and Incoterms
- Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency with freight management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
- Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and port operations is a plus
- Team-oriented with a proactive and problem-solving mindset
