  • Prepare print-ready PDFs and ensure files meet production specifications.
  • Make necessary modifications and corrections to customer artwork.
  • Troubleshoot problematic or improperly prepared files.
  • Create or modify artwork when necessary.
  • Work closely with Customer Service Representatives and production staff to ensure jobs move accurately and efficiently through production.
  • Communicate directly with customers regarding artwork, file requirements, corrections, and revisions when necessary.
  • Manage multiple jobs and priorities while meeting production schedules and deadlines.
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency throughout the prepress process.

Qualifications

  • Previous prepress or commercial print production experience required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
  • Solid understanding of print-production fundamentals including:
    • Bleeds and trim
    • CMYK, RGB, Pantone/spot colors

  • Ability to identify potential production problems before a job reaches press.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple jobs and changing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable communicating with customers and coworkers to resolve artwork and production issues.
  • Ability to work independently while also being part of a production team.

Education & Experience

  • Commercial printing/prepress experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a commercial print shop, digital print environment, or similar production setting is highly desirable.

Compensation

Salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
