We're partnering with a well-established engineering consulting firm that has spent more than four decades delivering successful land development and infrastructure projects across South Florida. As the company continues to grow, they are seeking a Professional Engineer who can lead projects from concept and permitting through construction and final delivery.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys balancing technical design, project leadership, client interaction, and problem-solving while working on a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, mixed-use, and municipal developments.
What You'll Be Doing- Lead the design and development of land development infrastructure projects
- Design stormwater management, drainage, roadway, potable water, and sanitary sewer systems
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, construction plans, and technical specifications
- Coordinate permitting activities with local, county, and state regulatory agencies
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and construction cost estimates
- Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and material specifications
- Collaborate with surveyors, planners, architects, CAD designers, and other engineering disciplines
- Serve as a technical resource and point of contact for clients throughout project execution
- Support construction administration, inspections, permit closeouts, and certifications
- Ensure projects are delivered on time while maintaining the highest technical standards
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications- Active Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- 5+ years of experience in civil engineering and land development
- Strong knowledge of site development, grading, utilities, drainage, and infrastructure design
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience preparing engineering plans and permitting packages
- Excellent communication and project coordination skills
Preferred Qualifications- Experience using ICPR and/or ASAD for stormwater modeling
- Microsoft Project experience
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Previous experience working directly with clients and regulatory agencies
