Job Summary
Seeking a Controls Automation Engineer with strong Rockwell/Allen-Bradley experience to support PLC programming, troubleshooting, automation projects, and manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and maintain Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and MicroLogix PLCs.
- Troubleshoot FactoryTalk HMI/SCADA systems.
- Support automation projects from installation through startup.
- Troubleshoot controls, instrumentation, electrical, and production issues.
- Read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control documentation.
- Work with engineering and maintenance teams to improve production and safety.
- Support and train maintenance technicians and operators.
- Follow NFPA, OSHA, ISA/IEC, and company safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Controls, Automation Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of industrial automation/control experience in manufacturing.
- Strong Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley experience.
- Hands-on experience with Studio 5000 / RS Logix 5000.
- Experience with FactoryTalk View, HMI/SCADA.
- Knowledge of Ethernet/IP, Device Net, Profibus, and Modbus.
- Experience with VFDs, sensors, instrumentation, servo systems, and MCCs.
- Ability to troubleshoot and read electrical drawings.
Preferred
- Rockwell CLD certification.
- Robot integration experience.
- MES/SAP experience.
- Lean/Six Sigma experience.
- Industrial cybersecurity knowledge.
Must have strong Rockwell Automation experience and be available for on-site work in Lenexa, KS.
