Mechanical Draftsman/Estimator

Express Employment Professionals has an opening for a Mechanical Drafter for a local machine shop that is rapidly growing.

Duties:

• Design plans using computer-aided design and drafting (Autodesk) software.
• Creating jobs and part layouts for waterjet and laser cutting.
• Work from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers and individuals.
• Help design products with engineering and manufacturing techniques.
• Add details to shop drawings for fabricators to fallow.
• Create a bill of material per job specification.
• Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures for production.
• Quoting individual parts to complicated assemblies out of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

Required Skills:

• Experience in metal fabrication, machining, or manufacturing

• Proficiency in CAD software (Inventor preferred)

• Strong understanding of materials, labor, and fabrication processes

• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings

• Detail-oriented

Must have experience with AutoCAD

Shift: M-F 8 AM - 5 PM

Pay: $20.00/hr
