Quality Control Inspector

Incoming Inspection: Verify all incoming raw materials (beams, plates, hardware) against purchase orders and Mill Test Reports (MTRs) for size, grade, and quantity.

In-Process & Final Audits: Inspect fabricated steel components for dimensional accuracy, weld quality, and adherence to shop drawings.

Blueprint Proficiency: Read and interpret complex structural blueprints and CAD drawings to ensure fabricated parts match design intent.

Documentation: Maintain detailed inspection logs, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and shipping clearances to ensure full traceability.

Testing: Utilize precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures, weld gauges) and perform visual inspections of welds.

Loading Oversight: Perform final "pre-shipment" checks on outgoing trucks to ensure the right parts are loaded and properly secured.

Collaboration: Work closely with the shop foreman and welders to correct issues in real-time and prevent recurring errors.
