JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead the design, development, programming, and commissioning of automated eyewear assembly systems.
Responsibilities:
- Lead medium-to-large automation and new product introduction projects.
- Design and integrate PLC, HMI, robotics, machine controls, and safety systems.
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and 6-axis robots.
- Develop machine designs, wiring, control schemes, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams.
- Troubleshoot equipment and implement improvements for safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians and support project planning and commissioning.
Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering with 7+ years of experience.
- Strong PLC programming, HMI, robotics, and electromechanical systems experience.
- Experience with Ladder Logic, Structured Text, 6-axis robotics, and 3D CAD/SOLIDWORKS.
- High-volume manufacturing and automated assembly experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Fanuc, Denso, YuMi, Cognex Vision, Lean Six Sigma, and eyewear industry experience are preferred.
