Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Field Engineer / Electrical Construction Coordinator to support the completion of a large-scale Biogas Facility Project in Linden, New Jersey. This facility converts organic food waste into renewable natural gas and requires hands-on electrical construction support throughout the final phases of the project.
This is a field-based role working directly at an active construction site. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical systems, construction field execution, and resolving electrical engineering discrepancies. Candidates who thrive in industrial environments and enjoy working closely with project teams, contractors, and field personnel are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Provide field support for electrical construction activities on a renewable energy/biogas facility project.
Review and validate conduit sizing, routing, and installation plans.
Manage and maintain cable schedules to ensure alignment with project documentation and field conditions.
Coordinate electrical terminations and verify compliance with design specifications.
Identify, investigate, and resolve engineering discrepancies between design documents and field installations.
Interpret and troubleshoot electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
Support installation and commissioning activities involving:
Industrial electrical systems
Motors
Process control devices
Instrumentation systems
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, engineers, and field crews to maintain project progress.
Conduct field inspections and verify work is completed according to safety and quality standards.
Assist with project turnover, punch list completion, and closeout activities.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate has experience supporting large industrial construction projects and can confidently manage electrical field issues involving conduit systems, cable schedules, terminations, and engineering discrepancies. They are comfortable working long hours in a fast-paced construction environment and enjoy being actively involved in field execution rather than office-based engineering work.
