Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking dependable, safety-minded Class A CDL Drivers for several full-time local opportunities with well-established companies. Position Overview

As a Local Class A CDL Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport materials, freight, or equipment between designated locations and job sites. Depending on the position, drivers may operate manual or automatic transmission vehicles, including tractor-trailer and flatbed equipment.

Some positions may involve loading, unloading, securing cargo, connecting/disconnecting trailers, or assisting with job-site operations. Drivers must be comfortable communicating with dispatchers, customers, coworkers, and other personnel to ensure deliveries and pickups are completed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on local routes.
  • Transport freight, materials, or equipment between designated locations and job sites.
  • Operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles, depending on the assignment.
  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Properly secure and inspect loads before and during transportation.
  • Load, unload, connect, or disconnect trailers and equipment as required.
  • Follow assigned routes, schedules, and delivery instructions.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, coworkers, and job-site personnel.
  • Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate delivery, inspection, and other required records.
  • Keep the vehicle and work area clean, organized, and in safe operating condition.
  • Assist with job-site or delivery activities as needed.
  • Report mechanical issues, safety concerns, delays, or other problems promptly.
  • Maintain a professional and dependable attitude while representing the company.
Qualifications
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Clean and safe driving record preferred.
  • Previous commercial driving experience preferred; experience requirements may vary by position.
  • Ability to safely operate manual and/or automatic transmission vehicles.
  • Ability to pass required DOT physical and drug screening.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
  • Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and safety-conscious.
  • Ability to work independently while also being part of a team.
  • Ability to work outdoors and assist with physical tasks when required.
Schedule & Work Environment
  • Full-time, local driving positions
  • Primarily day-shift opportunities
  • Most positions allow drivers to return home daily
  • Schedules, routes, equipment, and start times vary depending on the assignment.
  • Some positions may require extended hours or overtime based on business needs.
