Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage multiple IT projects, including project planning, requirements development, risk management, deliverables, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or related field. Years of experience may substitute for formal education.
3+ years of project management experience.
3+ years of project management experience in a healthcare insurance information technology environment.
Project planning experience, including effort estimation on technical tasks and resource allocation.
Responsibilities
Assist with developing business requirements.
Build project plans and execute according to established plans.
Manage project risks, issues, triggers, and mitigation strategies.
Ensure deliverables and activities are completed with high quality and on schedule.
Report project status and strategies orally and in writing.
Develop and maintain project management documents and artifacts.
Coordinate with staff, team members, management, vendors, and internal and external organizations.
Manage information required for project plans, portfolio/program plans, metrics, reports, and project documentation.
Manage multiple high-profile and high-priority projects simultaneously.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SharePoint and project management tools including Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project, Word, Access, and Excel.
Experience with risk management and risk triggers.
Superb written and oral communication skills.
Strong presentation skills, including presentations to executive management.
Experience with Medicaid or healthcare delivery systems.
PMP certification preferred.
Required Certifications
None required. Technical and/or Project Management certifications are desirable.
