Our client, a growing manufacturing organization, is seeking a Line Supervisor to lead day-to-day production operations and help drive a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment, enjoys developing people, and can effectively balance production demands with operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities Lead Daily Production Operations
- Direct and supervise shift activities to ensure production goals are achieved safely and efficiently.
- Maintain compliance with safety policies, quality standards, work instructions, and operating procedures.
- Monitor production flow and address issues that impact productivity, quality, or delivery performance.
- Ensure equipment, materials, and staffing resources are properly aligned to meet production schedules.
- Maintain an active floor presence and provide real-time support to production teams.
Coach and Develop Production Teams
- Lead, motivate, and develop Operators, Floaters, and Team Leads.
- Conduct start-up meetings, shift communications, and end-of-shift handoff discussions.
- Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and training to support employee development.
- Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Address performance concerns promptly and consistently while maintaining positive employee relations.
Drive Performance and Continuous Improvement
Track and analyze key performance indicators including:- Safety
- Yield
- Labor Efficiency
- Scrap
- Downtime
Implement corrective actions to resolve recurring operational issues.
Support and lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, Kanban, waste reduction, and process improvement activities.
Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce scrap, and increase equipment uptime.
Partner with operations, maintenance, quality, and leadership teams to sustain improvements.
Qualifications Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety requirements, and production controls.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining focus on safety, quality, and delivery.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Associate degree or technical certification.
- 4-6 years of hands-on operational, technical, quality, or manufacturing experience.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S and Kanban.
- Exposure to KPI-driven production environments and continuous improvement initiatives.
