Job Title: Cybersecurity Engineer Location: Erlanger, Kentucky Hybrid 3onsite/2offsite Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $130,000.00 Work Model: Hybrid 3onsite/2offsite USC/GC Only NO C2C

Our Client is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support and enhance the company’s cybersecurity program across North and South America (U.S., Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina). This role partners with Corporate IT, Plant IT, business stakeholders, and third-party providers to protect enterprise IT, cloud services, endpoints, networks, and manufacturing/OT environments from evolving threats.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Corporate IT, Plant IT, business stakeholders, and third-party providers to protect information systems, manufacturing environments, cloud services, networks, endpoints, and data assets from cybersecurity threats.
  • Implement, administer, and monitor security controls for cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments, supporting security technologies related to identity, endpoints, network, and data protection.
  • Participate in security reviews of new technologies and infrastructure to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Assist with vulnerability management activities, including reviewing scan results and tracking remediation.
  • Monitor, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity alerts, incidents, and suspicious activities, supporting incident response efforts.
  • Analyze security logs, endpoint telemetry, network activity, and threat intelligence to identify risks and indicators of compromise.
  • Support security monitoring platforms, alert tuning, and detection capability improvements.
  • Administer and support identity security technologies, including Microsoft Entra ID, MFA, Conditional Access, and Privileged Identity Management.
  • Support data protection initiatives such as data classification, DLP, and insider risk management.
  • Assist with securing cloud services like Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
  • Collaborate with Plant IT to support cybersecurity controls within manufacturing and operational technology (OT) environments, balancing security with operational uptime and safety.
  • Maintain cybersecurity documentation including security configurations, network diagrams, incident records, and operational procedures.
  • Support cybersecurity policies, standards, and compliance initiatives, including internal audits and risk assessments.
  • Work collaboratively with diverse teams to meet cybersecurity objectives, communicating risks and issues effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Participate in professional development and ongoing training to strengthen cybersecurity skills.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4–6 years of experience in cybersecurity, systems administration, or security engineering roles.
  • Experience supporting enterprise IT environments, preferably within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
  • Hands-on experience with cybersecurity technologies including Microsoft Defender, Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, Sentinel, EDR/XDR, and Vulnerability Management tools.
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, Active Directory, IAM, and cloud security concepts.
  • Experience with security monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, and security operations activities.
  • Ability to analyze security alerts, logs, and system events for investigations and remediation.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks like NIST CSF, CIS Controls, and ISO 27001.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, SC-200, SC-300, AZ-500, and CISSP (preferred).
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% within the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and South America.
