Job Summary
We are seeking a precise and detail-oriented Inventory Control Clerk to join our team in Minooka, IL on the 1st shift. In this role, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory records across the warehouse through routine cycle counting, stock audits, discrepancy investigations, and direct system reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits to verify system stock levels
- Investigate, research, and reconcile inventory discrepancies, stock shortages, and misplaced items
- Use RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track location updates, stock transfers, and inventory adjustments
- Inspect incoming and outgoing stock for damaged products, proper labeling, and correct quantity
- Maintain accurate inventory data and generate daily audit reports for management
- Collaborate with shipping, receiving, and floor associates to correct location errors and optimize slotting
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, quality control guidelines, and company procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous inventory control, cycle counting, or warehouse experience preferred
- Proficiency with RF scanners, basic data entry, and warehouse management software
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (such as cherry pickers or reach trucks) is a plus
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, walk, or bend throughout an 8-hour shift
