POSITION SUMMARY:
The Security Program Manager provides leadership and administrative management to teammates, develops, implements and coordinates the security program activities within a hospital/healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
You will conduct the following responsibilities, upholding Tarian’s commitment to safety and security while supporting the values and culture of the client and community.
- Managestimecardprocessing, overtimeutilization, and payroll accuracy.
- Conduct weekly site inspections and client visits to ensure service quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Provide 24/7 on-call support to address operational issues, emergencies, and staffing concerns.
- Manages a team of supervisors and security officers who support healthcare security operations at client sites.
- Lead and coordinate new account start-ups, including staffing, training, client onboarding, and operational implementation.
- Partners with our healthcare clients and others across the organization to develop and implement security standards,policiesand practices to make continual improvements and increase the effectiveness of security programs.
- Participates in the planning, development and implementation of training,drillsand exercises.
- Works with security leaders toestablishreliable data associated with critical goals or other key performance indicators that help the client reach their businessobjectives.
- Coordinates resources and ensures adequate securitycoverageof client locations, to include extra coverage andspecial events.
- Analyzes effectiveness, productivity and profitability and makes recommendations and/or changes asappropriate.
- Performance management; partners with recruiting and human resources in hiring teammates,growingand developing teammates through coaching and mentoring and formally evaluating the performance of direct reports.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills when interacting with clients, employees, and management.
- Handles employee complaints,grievancesand investigations.
- Manages operational budgets for security related programs.
- Develops andmaintainsplans for the effective deployment of security staff and programs throughout the healthcare facility through combinations of staffing, technology, training,educationand awareness.
- Maintain compliance with all healthcare safety and security based regulatory standards,rulesand regulations.This includes but is not limited tothe JointCommission, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, state rules and requirements.
- Develop in collaboration with the hospital leadership risk mitigation andsafety-basedinitiatives within the security department Programs should focus on reducing risk of injury and other harm.
- Develop andmaintainpartnerships with community partners. (e.g.Law Enforcement)
- Develops and updates operational security program documentation.This includes but is not limited to policies, procedures and training documents.
