Position Overview:
HiFyve is hiring two CNC Programmers for a growing aerospace precision manufacturer in Meriden, CT.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced programmer who can develop CNC programs from scratch and wants to work with advanced multi-axis machining supporting complex aerospace components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop CNC programs using Siemens NX / Unigraphics
- Program 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC equipment
- Create programs from blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T
- Determine tooling, speeds/feeds, and machining strategies
- Support simulation, prove-outs, troubleshooting, and production launches
- Optimize cycle times and machining efficiency
- Create setup sheets and process documentation
- Support AS9100 aerospace manufacturing requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 5+ years of CNC programming experience
- Siemens NX / Unigraphics experience required
- Ability to build CNC programs from scratch
- Strong GD&T and blueprint-reading skills
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, speeds, and feeds
- 5-axis programming experience strongly preferred
- Aerospace or other tight-tolerance precision manufacturing preferred
