Job Title: Clean Room Production Technician

Job Description

The Clean Room Production Technician works in a regulated, GMP-compliant environment to bottle, label, and package chemical reagents used for in vitro diagnostic products. This role involves setting up and operating basic dispensing machinery, following detailed work instructions, performing accurate data entry and basic math, and physically transferring finished goods to inventory. The position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent hand dexterity, and comfort working in a fully gowned clean room setting.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate basic machinery to dispense chemical products into bottles according to handling specifications.
  • Fill bottles with chemical reagents and ensure proper sealing of products following established procedures.
  • Label bottles and packaging accurately and consistently in line with work instructions.
  • Package finished products and prepare them for transfer to inventory.
  • Physically move finished goods to inventory storage areas in a safe and organized manner.
  • Follow detailed written work instructions and standard operating procedures for all products and processes.
  • Enter production data into computer systems accurately, using basic software tools.
  • Perform basic math calculations at a high school level to support production and quality checks.
  • Work in a clean room environment while fully gowned, adhering to all cleanliness and contamination control standards.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and throughout the day as needed for production and inventory tasks.
  • Apply GMP practices and strict process controls to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Use hand dexterity and fine motor skills for assembly, packaging, and labeling tasks.
  • Collaborate with a small team of 5–6 colleagues and participate in cross-training across different production areas.
  • Follow safety guidelines, including the use of safety glasses, surgical gloves, and lab coats at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area within the production and clean room spaces.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment performing labor-intensive tasks.
  • Experience in medical assembly or similar regulated production environments is highly suitable.
  • Ability to perform basic math at a high school level.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
  • Basic computer skills, including use of Word, Excel, and email.
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
  • High level of hand dexterity for assembly, packaging, and labeling work.
  • Comfort working in a clean room environment while fully gowned from head to toe.
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and standardized processes accurately.
  • Strong English communication skills to understand instructions and document work clearly.
  • Willingness and ability to be cross-trained across multiple production areas.
  • Reliability and consistency in following GMP practices and regulated procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous GMP experience in a mid-size or larger manufacturing company.
  • Experience working with SAP or similar inventory and production software systems.
  • Background in medical device or medical assembly production.
  • Familiarity with clean room protocols and contamination control.
  • Ability to work with microscopes or other precision tools in an assembly environment.
  • Comfort working in an analytical, process-driven production setting rather than traditional manufacturing.
  • Adaptability to learn new areas and tasks to support cross-training and production flexibility.

Work Environment

The work environment centers on the development and manufacture of reagents for in vitro diagnostics, supporting products in areas such as infectious disease, hepatitis, endocrinology, bone and mineral metabolism, cancer, brain injury, cardiac care, therapeutic drug monitoring, and autoimmunity. You work with a team of approximately 5–6 colleagues in a regulated, GMP-compliant facility that emphasizes analytical, process-driven production rather than traditional manufacturing. When working in the clean room, you gown up from head to toe and typically spend about half a day there, wearing safety glasses, surgical gloves, and a lab coat as standard attire. The facility promotes strict cleanliness, safety, and quality standards, and uses basic machinery, computer systems, and inventory processes to support production.

Hours:

6AM-2:30PM Monday- Friday

10PM-6:30AM Sunday-Thursday

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stillwater, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
