Eagle Point Nursing & Rehabilitation is a premier, long-term care facility, that caters to our neighbors and Clinton County-area seniors, providing that at-home touch to families and friends that need our care. What You'll Do:
- Promote safety, dignity, and quality of life for every resident
- Coordinate with CNAs, LPNs, RNs, physicians, therapy staff, and families to support positive patient outcomes.
- Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
- Chart nurse notes in an informative, timely, and accurate descriptive manner that reflects the care provided to the resident, as well as the resident’s response to the care.
- The ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during working hours.
- Maintain a liaison with the residents, their families, support departments, etc., to adequately plan for the residents’ needs.
- Answer telephone and call lights when needed
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with established standards and care plans.
- Monitor patient conditions, record observations, and report changes to the appropriate care team members while advocating for their needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered and within scope of practice.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and ongoing patient assessments.
- Promote a respectful, clean, and safe care environment for patients and team members.
What We're Looking For:We're looking for someone who:
- Active RN License in Iowa
- Current CPR/BLS certification (CPR certification offered bi-annually)
- Positive attitude, empathy, and the ability to lead by example
- Strong assessment and time-management skills
- Genuine passion for working with older adults
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED required
- RN Licensure
Experience:
- One (1) year experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred (but not necessary, will train the right candidate).
- Entry Level (0-2 years)
