POSITION SUMMARY:

The Associate, eCommerce Sales supports assortment management and sales execution for a specific group of e-retailers, reporting to the Director, eCommerce Sales. The ideal candidate will help plan and execute day-to-day sales driving initiatives. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordinating new product setups on customer portals, image uploading and product page review and optimization. Clear, consistent communication (written and verbal, internal and with retail partners) is an integral part of this position. Based on experience, the sales associate has an opportunity to lead a subset of the portfolio. This is a hybrid role based in Glen Rock, NJ with occasional travel for customer meetings and industry trade shows.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Day-to-Day Account Support & Customer Relationship Management

  • Own recurring weekly and monthly sales reporting across assigned accounts, tracking performance against targets so the team can course-correct before quarter close.
  • Monitor items with no weekly selling data and diagnose root causes (e.g., suppressed listings, out-of-stocks, content gaps) so lost sales are recovered quickly.
  • Keep the eCommerce customer list and account-manager mapping current.
  • Prepare monthly business review materials, turning raw customer performance data into a clear read on what is working and what's underperforming.
  • Build close, professional relationships with buying teams and category partners to surface category insights and enable faster resolution of catalog, content, and promotional issues.

Maintain & Optimize eCommerce Catalog Presentation

  • Manage new item setup end-to-end, from creation through launch, coordinating account-level time and action calendars with digital merchandising.
  • Maintain the item setup tracker to deliver cross-functional visibility to the active catalog for each account.
  • Monitor content health and correct gaps in product detail page copy, imagery, and enhanced content.
  • Maintain accurate product cross-references and catalog data across internal systems so pricing and availability stay accurate at every point of sale.
  • Review price vs. sales order/invoice data and flag discrepancies.
  • Complete and submit suppression/inactivation documentation as needed.

Track Promotional Activity

  • Execute against the customer promotional calendar, hitting all submission deadlines so funded events are never forfeited.
  • Maintain the internal promotional activity log so marketing, planning, and operations can properly support committed events.
  • Recap promotional performance and post-event results, flagging opportunities to improve return on promotional spend for the next event.
  • Run cost differential analysis on each funded promotional event and prepare reconciliation findings for manager review, flagging any deductions that don't match agreed terms.

Competitive Market Awareness

  • Perform online competitive shopping assessments to benchmark competitor price, assortment, and content quality, contributing to discussions about account-specific assortment and pricing recommendations.
Requirements:

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years in a corporate retail or wholesale business environment, with eCommerce experience
  • Experience with extensive consumer product catalogs, preferably soft/home goods
  • Hands-on experience with retailer vendor portals and item setup / content syndication workflows
  • Comfort pulling and interpreting data from retailer reporting platforms
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Detail-oriented, with a strong analytical background and presentation skills
  • Ability to meet project deadlines and manage multiple accounts simultaneously
  • Self-starter who can work independently while thriving in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
  • Clear written, verbal, and in-person communication skills, with comfort collaborating across internal teams and external partners

PREFERENCES:

  • Proficient with PowerPoint, including comfort building clear data visualizations
  • Familiarity with syndication/PIM platforms beyond Acenda
  • Experience with marketplace platforms, Home Depot, or Lowe's
  • Exposure to eCommerce marketing/advertising platforms or tools
