Summary

This co-op internship is a hands-on, real world position, assisting our Electrical Engineers with new hardware design, prototyping, hardware testing, board level repair, manufacturing protocols (Design for Manufacturing), parts and vendor research and embedded software.

*Our interns are anticipated to work with us for the entire summer term, assuming quality work. Of course, all positions are "at will" and an internship is not a guarantee of work for a set period of time.

Responsibilities

· Learn and use test equipment

· Complete testing on both LED modules and controllers

· Test hardware using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other test equipment

· Work with complete LED sign systems to complete system level testing

· Research new or alternate components

· Develop embedded software

· Help building prototypes

Qualifications/Skills:

· Ability to work independently

· Excellent written and communication skills

· Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of semester

· Able to work up to 40 hours per week during summer session

Education and Licensing

· Student enrolled in Engineering/Technology: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Technology, EET, MET, Computer Science or other similarly related degree program required

· Must have been enrolled full-time for the current semester, new graduates are still eligible for this position
