Job Title: Direct Support Professional (Residential)

Location: Macon, GA

Reports To: Program Coordinator

Status: Full Time, First Shift: 3pm-11pm weekdays, 7am-7pm weekends; Second Shift: 11pm-9am weekdays, 7pm-7am/9am weekends; MUST be able to work a combination of weekdays and every other weekend.

Pay: $17/hour

Wesley Glen Ministries is looking for full-time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who are reliable, compassionate, and committed to making a real impact in the lives of adults with developmental disabilities.

As a Residential DSP, you will be more than just a caregiveryou will be an advocate, mentor, and supporter, helping residents live as independently as possible. Our group homes provide 24/7 care for four adults each, and our team works collaboratively to ensure that every resident thrives physically, emotionally, and socially.

Takeownership of creating a safe, clean, and engaging home environment.
Support residents withdaily life skills like meal preparation, hygiene, and housekeeping.
Ensuremedication is properly managed and documented.
Encourage personal growth byfacilitating social activities and skill-building opportunities.
Accuratelydocument progress and communicate updates to the team.
Drive residents toappointments, community events, and recreational activities.
Actively engage inproblem-solving and be flexible when challenges arise.
Be a team playerreliable, punctual, and willing to step up when needed.

Must be 21+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 3 years and a clean 7-year driving history.
Pass a background check & drug screening.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to get certified).
Able to lift/carry15+ lbs and assist adults up to 300 lbs.
Comfortable working in various conditions, including outdoor activities and occasional high-stress situations.
