Job Title: Assistant OperatorJob Description

The Assistant Operator supports machine operators in the setup and operation of manufacturing equipment, ensuring that tools and materials are ready and available for production. This role helps maintain consistent output, meets production goals, and upholds quality and safety standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Machine Operator with the setup and preparation of manufacturing equipment before production runs.
  • Ensure the Machine Operator has all necessary tools, materials, and supplies to maintain continuous production.
  • Perform general production and general labor tasks to support daily manufacturing activities.
  • Inspect parts during and after production to verify they meet quality and specification requirements.
  • Monitor equipment during operation and promptly report any issues or irregularities to the Machine Operator or supervisor.
  • Follow established safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe and organized work area.
  • Support machine operation by loading materials, removing finished parts, and keeping workstations clean and efficient.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and maintain consistent workflow.
Essential Skills
  • At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
  • General production experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand basic machine functions.
  • Ability to inspect parts for defects and adherence to quality standards.
  • Capability to perform general labor tasks, including lifting, moving, and organizing materials.
  • Comfort working around and supporting machine operation in a production setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience assisting with machine setup and operation in a manufacturing environment.
  • Attention to detail when inspecting parts and monitoring production output.
  • Willingness to learn new processes and equipment to support production needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with machine operators and production team members.
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety practices in a manufacturing setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
